The Capacity for Audacity
Audacity is without question a cool audio program. I am a mix cd making machine so I am pretty familiar with a program such as this. I use CoolEdit which I have used now for over 2 years and I LOVE IT. You can mix songs together. I can sing on top of the song. If you can think it - You can do it. I love to mix songs together or mix a movie quote into the beginning of a song. If you like music , it is so much fun. I can literally spend hours on that program. I will have to play around with Audacity in order to get familiar with all the nuances. In regards to our PodCast assignment, I feel ahead in the game but I know that Professor Murphy-Genter will be expecting a higher quality finished product. I am definitely up for the challenge. My group and I have a pretty good idea of what we want to do for our PodCast. I am looking forward to the finished product.

Marc definitely has some mix cd and cool edit skills. I just recently heard a remix of a Vampire Weekend song he did, and it put the song in a whole different perspective for me.....real cool stuff!

You sure are a mix-making machine! I'd love to see what you can do with even better technology than you're already using.
ReplyDeleteMixmaster Marc speaks the truth. Mix CDs are audio collages, and Marc mixes with all the colors of the rainbow. M stands for music but it also stands for Marc. Y stands for Yacovone but it also stands for yowsa! I look forward to hearing the veracity of his capacity for audacity. Mix on master Marc!
ReplyDeleteIs Cool Edit a free software program? Is there a URL that you can post to download it?
ReplyDeleteYac....you really are "Money in the Bank". Your CD-making skills are legendary. I've sampled more than my fair share through the years. In fact, I think I'm do for a freshy. Stop blogging and get me a new mix already.

Good luck with the Podcast project. I think to get it done right its going to take a lot of practice. I liked using audacity because its not as fancy smancy as some other programs its kind of simple and to the point. I have actually been looking to play around with it on my own time to remix a cd for my boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the software.
ReplyDeleteMarc, we are gonna need some snazzy tunes for the podcast. I'm thinking Kool and the Gang- Jungle Boogie
